Battle of Ramnagar

British forces move across the Chenab crossing near Ramnagar. British cavalry drove the Sikhs back across the river, but as they do Sikh artillery opens fire from concealed positions on the cavalry that had become bogged down in soft sand. This soft sand stopped British artillery from getting into position and every British attack was repulsed.

Battle of Chillianwala

The left hand brigade took their assigned position and was able to push around behind the Sikhs' centre. The right hand brigades, however, attempted to attack the Sikh artillery through thick jungle. The Sikhs met them with volleys of grapeshot. Some troops did reach the Sikh line, but where fought off and the Queen's Colour was lost. With darkness falling and some of his formations facing encirclement Gough ordered a withdrawal back to his starting positions. Sher Singh withdrew to the north, with the British withdrawing a few days later.

Battle of Gujarat
Feb 21, 1849
Sher Singh had withdrawn his army to Gujrat and prepared a defensive position. The Sikh artillery opened fire as soon as the British advanced and revealed their positions. The British opened up with a counter barrage that lasted 3 hours until the Sikh gunners were forced to abandon their position. The British then advanced on the Sikh infantry, bringing their own artillery up behind them to maintain covering fire until the Sikhs broke.
