As the Belgian Field Army crosses the Schelde River, Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Rawlinson arrived in Antwerp from the Aisne to take command of the British force. The Naval Brigade also arrives at Antwerp that night and takes up its place manning Forts 2 and 7.
