The british start firing on North Wangtong and Anunghoy causing the defenders to flee

The british start firing on North Wangtong and Anunghoy. While this is happening HMS Blenheim under Captain Humphrey Senhouse anchored off the South Anunghoy Fort. They began their bombardment which caused many of the defenders to flee, and the remainder was routed by a landing party of sailors and marines. HMS Wellesley and HMS Druid target the batteries to the southwest. By the afternoon all of the forts had been taken. Chinese Admiral Guan Tianpei was among the estimated 250 killed or wounded in Anunghoy.
